Any Tongue and Groove engineered floors may or may not be floated depending on the particular manufacturers allowablity.

Usually the thinner 3/8 (or less) should not be floated as they would flex too much possibly braking the glued joint holding the boards together.

As with any wood flooring the thicker the floor is the more stable it will be.
