Hardwood Floor finishes are meant to be cleaned using the manufacturers recommended cleaner. Most do allow the use of Bona cleaners that are formulated for the new finishes.

We do not recommend using any wax or oil type cleaners, such as furniture polishes etc. Do not use water and vinegar as the chemicals in the water could damage the finish over time. Click here for more information on the Do's and Dont's of cleaning your new flooring.

What do you use to clean pet urine stains off wood floors?

If the pet urine has been there a while, it has probably chemically changed the natural color of the wood cells to black. Sanding and refinishing may shrink the size of the stained area some.
