Is engineered flooring better to use than solid wood flooring, why?
How long will it last?

Thanks!!! Paul

Hi Paul
It depends on where your installing the flooring, Engineered flooring was initially designed for regions of the country that had higher moisture levels and in basements. But engineered hardwood flooring can be installed on any floor level and is technically more stable than solid wood flooring because of its ply layer base. If it's going to be installed in a heavily trafficked area then make sure you choose on that has a thick wear layer that can be sanded and refinished new again 2-4 times. Some of the styles we offer that have a thicker wear layer are linked below.

Baltic Wood flooring

Harris Wood floors

Kahrs Hardwood Floors

Lauzon wood flooring
